No. If you do not pay your registration fees by January 4, you will not receive the login email that week. You will receive your login email once you pay your registration fees. No. Once you register in Eventbrite, you will receive a confirmation email. This email confirms your registration. To ensure that you do not have any difficulties logging into the platform on the live event days, we recommend you login to the platform when you receive your login details in early January 2021. When you login, you will be asked to build your attendee profile. You will also be able to take a look around the platform to get yourself acclimated to the functionality. If you would like to participate in the Hallway Meetings, you will be required to login and complete your “Want to Meet” list by January 9, 2021.

Hallway Meetings are generously brought to you by Douglas College. These video-based peer-to-peer matchmaking sessions take place during all breaks at Cannexus. To participate, you will be required to build your “Want to Meet” list in the platform by January 9, 2021. After this date, we will not be able to accommodate the peer-to-peer matchmaking functionality within your profile. If you complete your “Want to Meet” list by January 9, your meetings will be automatically scheduled in your personal agenda in the platform. If you are unable to participate in Hallway Meetings, you will still be able to connect directly with other attendees within the platform.

In addition to Hallway Meetings, you can also schedule 1:1 or group video meetings with other attendees by choosing “Schedule Meeting”. Attendees who you request a meeting with will receive a notification in their personal inbox which they can accept or decline. If they accept, the meeting will be added to your personal agendas.

On January 27 from 3:30 pm -4:30 pm ET, you can also participate in a virtual Cocktail Party, French Meetup or Student Networking.

Yes, during all live conference days, we have a variety of activities to participate in during the breaks. The virtual conference platform will offer bilingual text wherever possible with some exceptions. Unfortunately, some system buttons, dates, etc. are not able to be displayed in both languages.

All live plenary sessions will take place with simultaneous interpretation in English and French. Also, at least one session in each live block will be able to be viewed with interpretation (voiceover dubbing).

All live concurrent sessions will use Wordly for captioning. Wordly will provide captioning in 15 different languages (including English and French).

Yes, all sessions will be recorded and will be available to registered attendees through the virtual conference platform for a year. Please save your login email, and bookmark your unique link so you will have easy access to the recordings following the conference.
