Payment Policy (Virtual and In-person)

To complete your registration, payment must be received within 30 days in order to ensure the rate at the time of recording your registration. Please note, if you register on or after December 29, 2023, you will be required to pay your registration fees by credit card at the time of registration.

Cancellation Policy (Virtual Only)

Once you register for Cannexus24, you will be granted a 72-hour “Registration Grace Period,” and be eligible for a full refund if you decide to cancel. Please note, if you register after January 5, 2024 there will be no Registration Grace Period, and no refunds will be issued.

Due to the format of the virtual conference, NO REFUNDS will be issued for cancellation requests received after the 72-hour grace period. If you are unable to attend for any reason, you will have access to all the session recordings following the conference for six months. 

Group cancellation: If a cancellation to a group conference registration order results in fewer than 5 delegates attending, the group discount no longer applies and this difference will be deducted before your refund is issued.

Cancellation Policy (In-person Only)

We do sympathize if you are unable to attend; however, these cancellation fees assist us in covering fixed costs due to your non-attendance (food and beverage orders, printing costs and transaction costs associated with your registration). 

Requests for cancellation(s) must be made by emailing your request to registration@ceric.ca. Cancellation requests must be received before January 5, 2024, at 11:59 pm ET. NO REFUNDS are granted after January 5. 

An administrative fee on a sliding scale will be deducted from any refund for a conference registration as follows: 

  • 20% fee for cancellation requested July 25, 2023 – September 8, 2023, 11:59 pm ET 
  • 25% fee for cancellation requested September 9, 2023November 10, 2023, 11:59 pm ET 
  • 30% fee for cancellation requested November 11, 2023 – January 5, 2024, 11:59 pm ET 
  • No refunds will be granted after January 5, 2024

In the event that the in-person portion of the conference can no longer take place, CERIC will provide you with three options: 

  • Option 1: Transfer your in-person registration to virtual Cannexus24, and we’ll refund the difference  
  • Option 2: Transfer your in-person registration to the in-person portion of a hybrid Cannexus25 conference 
  • Option 3: Receive a full refund  

Group cancellation: If a cancellation of a group conference registration order results in fewer than 5 delegates attending, the group discount no longer applies and this difference will be deducted before your refund is issued.

Delegate Substitution (Virtual and In-person)

Delegate substitutions are permissible. Please notify us at registration@ceric.ca if you intend to transfer your registration to another person. Supply us with that person’s name and contact information, including their email address. If a substitution results in a change in delegate type (e.g., moving from Presenter to Regular registration), the substitute delegate will be required to pay any difference in registration rate. Also note, no delegate substitutions will be permitted after January 5, 2024.

Switching Your Registration (Virtual to In-person or Vice Versa) 

If you would like to switch your registration from virtual to in-person, or vice-versa, please notify us at registration@ceric.ca no later than January 10. If a switch results in a change in the registration fee, the delegate will be required to pay any difference in the registration rate. If the switch results in a refund, please allow for two weeks for the refund to be processed. Also note, no delegate substitutions will be permitted after January 5, 2024.

Recording (Virtual Only)

At the virtual event, it is possible that you will be recorded as part of the proceedings (e.g., asking a question of a speaker, etc.). By registering for Cannexus, you consent to your video being taken and published by CERIC as part of event-related materials.

Recording & Photography (In-person Only) 

As is customary at in-person events, a photographer/videographer may be present taking images of the proceedings, which may include delegates. By registering for Cannexus, you consent to your video being taken and published by CERIC as part of the event-related materials. If you see a photographer/videographer in your vicinity and do not wish to be photographed, please let them know directly. 

Scent-free (In-person Only) 

Due to health concerns arising from exposure to scented products, Cannexus23 will be a scent-free conference. Please refrain from using scented perfumes, shampoos and conditioners. 

Accessibility Support Person (In-person Only) 

If you require an Accessibility Support Person to accompany you at no cost, please email registration@ceric.ca. 

Privacy Policy

CERIC respects your privacy and protects your personal information, in compliance with CERIC’s Privacy Policy. We will not rent, sell or trade your information. The information you provide will be used to keep you informed about your conference registration and related updates. CERIC or its designate may contact you about your conference registration.

Important! The HST indicated on your ticket has already been included in the amount to be paid, so if you are sending a cheque, please do not add it a second time.
