Simultaneous interpretation is available for keynote and some live concurrent sessions. To access French interpretation, you must pop your Zoom window out of the platform. Please join the session and then use the steps below.

Step 1: Click “use the Zoom app”

Step 2: Once you choose the Zoom app, go to the bottom of the window and click “Interpretation.” You may then choose the language. You may need to switch back and forth the language you need interpreted as required.

The chat function is at the right-hand side of your screen. Please feel free to send your questions or comments through the chat. Note you would use the platform chat; chat is not available to attendees in Zoom.

All questions will be answered in the last 15 minutes of the session. If you have a question, please preface the question by writing a “Q” in front of it inside the chat. For example, “Q: What does career development for the public good mean to you?” This is so speakers know you are asking a question and not just leaving a comment.

If the speaker has set up polls, you will see the polling function on the right-hand side of the screen as well. If a speaker asks you to answer a poll, the question will be in the “Polls” tab.

If a speaker has included files for the session (e.g. PowerPoint deck, information sheet, etc.), you can see them in the “Files” tab.
